Then I dug into my batik stash and pulled some fabrics to make a few camera/ipod holders from a tut I found at Sew Mama Sew. The tutorial looks really easy, so it shouldn't take long to make the first one ... then we'll see how many I can make this weekend. The fabrics below are for 3 different ones:

You can spend literally hours going from one blog to another one, to another and another! Hey Linda... I put down my knitting needles to rest my achey hands for a bit, and had my first peek at your blog in days and days. Thanks for the mention! And I agree with you... that goldy hand written fabric is a must have and will go with everything!
ReplyDeleteThe thing is... deadlines can and often do make whatever we love so much less fun. I "had" to quilt when I managed a quilt shop. During that era, I only quilted for the shop. I adored helping out new quilters and getting them started and ignited and all that. It took a couple years after I left that job before I began loving quilting again.
So I have a self imposed "no deadlines" on myself and my quilting. Because this is my love, what I enjoy most in my spare time. Yikes, this is turning into another article, or "confessory" as you called it. Whatever it is, it seems to resonate, and maybe I should expand and expound on this a bit more on my blog.
Carry on, enjoy yourself and don't turn your fun into work! ; )
