Three things to be happy about:
(1) holiday recipes
(2) the smell of a Christmas tree
(3) gingerbread cookies
When I was at the Houston quilt festival in November I wanted to keep my purchases at a minimum because of the extra stuff I packed for the cruise. I was so afraid of going over the weight limit!
Besides two t-shirts and a thimble, I only bought a pattern and two books - Undeniably Crazy and Postively Crazy published by The Buggy Barn.
This pattern of a Santa combined with a Christmas tree caught my attention, so I had to have the book! If you click the picture it should go biggie size so you can see the detail.
I won't even start this quilt now because I know full well I won't get it done to hang this Christmas, so it goes on my list for 2015.
Something to look forward to!
However, I have this little pattern I downloaded late last year from Primitive Blessings website, which had dozens of patterns and drawings - dolls, scarecrows, houses, angels, stockings, snowmen, crows - things you could use all year long.
I went back to the site recently to look for new patterns but to my disappointment it's no longer there!
I made this one on a 12-1/2" background (can you see at a glance the little boo-boo I made!?).
It's a cute pattern, I thought of cutting it down smaller but I might just save it for a Christmas swap I'm signed up for.
But if I do make it into a small hanging, I'll do something simple for a border and let it be.
That's it for now, have a great Monday! Sew forth and sew on til later...
Cute Santa pattern - yes, save it for next year. I loved Primative Blessings and was dissappointed it is not longer, too. I do have some saved patterns from there.
