Just a little bit

Three things to be happy about:
(1) kids with candy canes
(2) pear preserves
(3) sunshine in winter

Hi everybody, just time for a quickie post today - showing my progress on the Quiltville Mystery, step 2!

I put step 1 aside for a minute...

This is what I've done so far - 18 triangle in a square blocks...

Words, I like words!

More kitted up to be sewn later ...

Need to cut the magenta wings for these.

All in all this wasn't a difficult step at all...

Except when my thread wanted to gang up on me!

Don't you just hate these little surprises???

Another challenge I had was, when I go to attach the left hand side the wing wants to skwoonch down a bit.  Pinning helps but the pins also like to get in the way!

Now hop on over to Bonnie's and see what everybody else is doing!

That's it for now, this will be a no-sew day for me!  Misplaced my SS card so have to go down and apply for another one, need to make a run to the Value Village to drop off stuff, need to bag more stuff for the Purple Heart, sew forth and sew on...

  1. You've got some fabulous neutrals going on!
My thread problem was the usual empty bobbin thing. I don't want to tell ya how long it took me to notice...

  2. You are using pretty fabrics; it's lovely seeing cherries on such a cold day!

  3. I'm keeping the steps and tips to the side and watching for now as it is a bad time for me to play with this one. Love all your neutrals.

  4. Good job. I skipped to step 2 as well. The ones will get finished eventually.
