New stuff, Allietare HST's

Three things to be happy about:
(1) Advent calendars
(2) a ball of dough rising
(3) gingerbread men people

Tis the season, get out the gingerbread fixings!

I hadn't planned to jump into the Black Friday madness but I had an errand and, since I was out anyway, I went to JoAnn's!

I took advantage of their 50% coupon and got something I sorely needed ...

... a new mat for my cutting table!

The old one is faded in spots and that doesn't bother me, except that it buckled in the middle and I can't always get accurate cuts.  Sometimes it tends to wobble and the ruler slips.

So, I figured I may as well take the plunge and get another one, they won't get any cheaper!

I got these clips yesterday at the Dollar Tree, to hold my Allietare HST's.

At 10 squares per group, there are enough clips here for 200 HST's!

I know I could have used binding clips, but I don't have any - but since there was a Dollar Tree near the Great Harvest Bread Company (Cinnamon Blast - yum!) I picked these up.

Seventy HST's done so far!

And here's a tip I picked up a couple nights ago on Quiltville's Open Studio Facebook group: someone suggested separating your groups of 10 by a leader/ender.

Great idea!  I don't want to do anything "real", so I'm sewing crumb blocks between my groups.

Hey, it works!

That's it for now, have a great Tuesday, sew forth and sew on til later...
