Wonky house get-together

Three things to be happy about:
(1) remodeling
(2) assembling a family cookbook
(3) making caramel

I got a nice surprise in the mail yesterday - houses!!!

These were pretty enough when I saw them on flickr...

but when I saw them in reality?  The pictures didn't do them justice!

And each house also came with a siggy square - it's always fun seeing how far your blocks travel for their get-together!  There should be a dozen houses in each group, but in my case one is missing - mine!  I'll have to make myself one before I put them together.

Jane is also hosting a "closed" tree swap with the house swap participants, and one for stars later.  I still have a little while to say how many I'll make, and get them in the mail if I'm participating.  Still thinking... thinking...

I've been working behind the scenes on my little challenge quilt for June, using a traditional quilt block.  The finished quilt can range between 25x25 and 60x60, I'd say mine will probably end up somewhere in the middle.  I can't show you anything yet, but if the next two months fly past like February did, it won't be long!  And last week?  Where did it go??!

If my list is correct, in 2011 I finished eight (8) quilts - I'm want to try and beat that number in 2012.  We're into the third month, I've done 2 quilts - gotta get sewing!  To me finished  means pieced and quilted, but not necessarily bound, in this case.  Gotta give myself some leeway!

Sew forth and sew on

  1. Two out of eight sounds pretty good to me and now you have the house blocks to play with. Good going!
