Isn't it interesting how different people can take the same pattern and, if they choose their own colors and theme, they'll make something radically different?
I think these were the result of a foundation piecing class.
More small quilts...
I told Felicia we need to challenge each other and make small quilts, they can be as simple as a quilt block. I think these were 12 x 12!
Change of pace... this vendor had patterns and tools for making woven baskets and purses...
after we left the booth we put our heads together ... uh-huh... go to Home Depot, get a dowel and some pvc pipe...
I like a play on words, I do it every now and then...

Interesting variety today. We went with small challenge pieces with our quilt guild - it increased participants as they don't take as long, you can use scraps, and it's not something you have to send off to a long armer.

Fun to see the quilts in these last 2 posts. My friend & I did a challenge creating a small quilt and really enjoyed it. Working smaller can be quite challenging, but generally it goes quicker and you get a little bit of 'instant' gratification. AND they rarely turn into UFO's.
