Goodness!

Goodness me, where is Miss Eat-Sleep-Quilt????

When last seen she was about to share her Alaska quilting cruise experiences... oh well, that's old news by now!  She's still among us, just had a MAJOR "not-wanting-to-post-anything-to-the-blog" spell!  Didn't realize it was a month, though.  No wait - now its TWO months, holy smoke!  8o(

Moving right along...

At our bee meeting last week we had a wonderful workshop after viewing the completed AIDS panel, it turned out wonderfully!

Several of our members made a 10-1/2" block, our design choice, which were incorporated into a single 3'x 6' panel to be donated to Names Project Foundation.  One of the great things about making blocks for an AIDS panel is that just about anything goes... it can be appliqued, pieced, dedicated to a loved one, an optimistic message... anything!

Sandy taught a great basket workshop....
this is the bowl she demo'd from start to finish...
Sandy is a great teacher, and very patient!  She didn't mind answering the same question over and over, bless her!

My basket turned out a weeeeee bit differently...
Kinda wobbly and I used white thread instead of black, it gives the bowl an entirely different look... oh well, it was fun though!

Here are some cute puppies Linda made for a craft sale...
too cute!!

That's it for now, have a great Saturday... sew forth and sew on til later!

  2. I really like your bowl. The lime green rounds stand out beautifully. I still want to hear about the cruise though.

  3. I don't think your bowl looks wobbly--you should see the one & only that I ever tries to make. Sheesh, you'd think I'd been drinking a whole bottle of wine first......
