Isn't that a nice looking pile of scraps? I've been busy behind the scenes pressing the scraps I pulled from two containers!
As I was going through these I noticed a few I might pull out and cut into strips rather than the half-square blocks, I noticed a few that would make great neutrals if cut into strips.
But the good thing is, progress is a good thing! I started out with this:
Now that spot looks like this:
We're moving right along!
Enjoy your day - this is the last day of winter! If you're snowed in you still have today to complete your "snowed in" project - sew forth and sew on til later...
Oh I can't wait to see what you make!
ReplyDeleteLOL..... I have a piece of ugly fabric that I can't seem to cut small enough.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great snowed-in project and I have a tub of larger scraps that could use some purging. And Gene - cut into 1.5" squares hides any ugly!
ReplyDeleteWe are on the same page, girl. I just went through my scrap bin --- yes, I do have SOME control and there is ONLY ONE scrap bin --- and ironed everything and "Bonnie Hunter-d" them into submission which for me means 1.5,2 & 2.5 inch strips along with some squares & rectangles. I feel so revived just getting that bit done. Which, by the way, is the extent of any "spring cleaning" in this house. No reason to get carried away, right?
ReplyDeleteCan´t wait to see it reveled!
ReplyDeleteI started doing this two months ago and need to get back to it. I didn't get far on my first go at reducing the mountain. Maybe I need to work at it a little at a time.
ReplyDeleteYeah the horse is pretty bad but I don't mind the tiger at all. I think it would take me a month of 10 hour days to go through my scraps!
ReplyDeleteI was once told that if you don't like a particular fabric, you haven't cut it small enough! LOL! I hope Spring comes. I'm tired of the cold, chilly weather. Brrrrr!
